## About

Students in grades 7 through 12 from the Sunset Playhouse School for the Arts perform Joseph Robinette's family comedy Dorothy Meets Alice or The Wizard of Wonderland at the community theater in Elm Grove. In the story, a boy who has put off a book report until the last minute lands somewhere between Oz and Wonderland and has to untangle the two stories, steering the Cowardly Lion, the Mad Hatter, the Scarecrow and the White Rabbit back where they belong while dodging the Wicked Witch and the Red Queen. Familiar characters and a quick, silly plot make it a good first theater outing for elementary-age children who know either book or film, and middle and high school students may enjoy watching peers on stage. Two casts split the run: the Oz Cast played the October weekend, and the Wonderland Cast performs November 7 and 8 at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are sold only through Sunset Playhouse's own website or box office; the theater warns that third-party resale listings are not valid.
