An afternoon drop-in at Eastman Nature Center that pairs a warming fire with magnifying gear. Naturalists set out microscopes so families can look closely at soil and other tiny things collected around the park, and children are challenged to find something small that is still alive as the land heads toward winter. All ages are welcome and there is no charge; come and go any time between 1 and 3 p.m. The activity is outdoors, so dress for the weather, and wear close-toed shoes that can get wet. Equipment is provided.
