A Halloween-season, behind-the-scenes tour at the Science Museum of Minnesota. Small groups get up close with flesh-eating beetles, skeletons and creepy crawlies such as bats, spiders and snakes, and learn how researchers use these animals to understand the world. Participants may get to watch a scientist do a dissection. Tours are capped at 10 people, and the $75 ticket includes museum admission, so you can explore the exhibit halls before or after the tour. Friday tours run 4-5 p.m. on October 16, 23 and 30. The page does not give an age guideline, so check before booking for young children or anyone squeamish.
