Little Learners is a 60-minute Zoo class for children ages 2 to 5 with a parent or guardian. Each session mixes free exploration in a Zoo classroom, guided group activities and an art project, around a rotating theme. Upcoming themes: What's Buzzing? (bugs and pollinators, October 24), Wild Families (how animal families care for and communicate with each other, November 7 and December 19), Dr. Zoolittle (pretend vet checkups with real veterinary tools; kids bring a stuffed animal from home, November 21 and January 9) and Critter Care (zookeeper jobs like preparing diets and making enrichment, December 12). Classes run 9:30-10:30 a.m. Children must be at least 24 months old, with a maximum of two children per adult. Zoo admission is not included, so buy a separate ticket if you want to stay and explore afterward. Registration closes at noon the day before each class.
