A 400-meter speed-skating track circles an infield used for hockey and bandy, and because the ice is refrigerated it stays skateable through mild spells. The winter season runs from mid-November through the first weekend of March, with public skating sessions posted on the city's monthly schedule (separate PDF schedules for the OVAL and the indoor arena). Admission is $9, a 10-session punch card is $70, and rental skates are $5 (sizes limited); skate sharpening is $6. Groups of 20 or more should call ahead. The OVAL stays open unless the wind chill is -25 degrees or lower; closures are posted on SkatetheOVAL.com or the weather line, 651-792-7191. ## Similar picks in Minneapolis - [Public Ice Skating at Burnsville Ice Center](https://grassyknees.com/minneapolis/activities/public-ice-skating-at-burnsville-ice-center--listing-717259c43b27a77197a6931d) — Public skating sessions on dates and times posted on the City of Burnsville calendar · Burnsville Ice Center · From $6 · checked Oct 24.
