Edina's post-Halloween pumpkin recycling party at Countryside Park. Families bring their old jack-o'-lanterns and pumpkins, compete in a pumpkin-rolling competition and a catapult contest, then smash or bash the pumpkins and toss them into compost piles, which helps grow more pumpkins next year. A messy, active outdoor outing for kids of all ages on a weekday afternoon, 4 to 6 p.m. Recycling your pumpkin is free.
