## About

ASI's monthly drop-off handcraft class for early-elementary students turns to Swedish holiday straw decorations in December. Instructor Anna Ruhland teaches children to make star-shaped straw ornaments based on Swedish traditions, using natural straw or compostable straws; the finished pieces are meant as handmade holiday gifts. Starting with Slöjd introduces new tools, materials and skills each month. It is a drop-off program: adults may not stay with children during the class.
