Billed as bringing the excitement of summer camp to winter break, the camp mixes play and discovery: campers meet the park's ambassador reptiles and amphibians and learn how those animals would survive a Minnesota winter if they lived outside, search the park for animal tracks and other signs of wildlife, and play games. Camp runs Monday through Wednesday, December 28 to 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Much of the program is outdoors, so children should dress for the weather and wear close-toed shoes; families receive an email with more details before camp starts. The fee is $170 per camper, and Three Rivers offers fee assistance. ## Similar picks in Minneapolis - [Drop-In Discoveries: Nature Play (Mississippi Gateway)](https://grassyknees.com/minneapolis/activities/drop-in-discoveries-nature-play-mississippi-gateway--listing-9f10e549c079b4743df51a49) — Wed, Nov 4 · 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM · Mississippi Gateway Regional Park (Gateway Center), Brooklyn Park · All ages · Free · checked Oct 20.
