Children join a museum-wide hunt for the Yule Lads, the 13 mischievous holiday visitors from Icelandic folklore, help decorate a giant gingerbread house and learn how families in different cultures celebrate the winter holidays. Santa also stops by for a special visit. Admission is reduced to $5 per person for the day, making it an affordable outing for the whole family, and all guests get 15% off gift shop purchases. The open house runs from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, December 5, and is supported by the Nissan Foundation. ## Similar picks in Nashville - [Holiday Happening! at Thompson Lane Library](https://grassyknees.com/nashville/activities/holiday-happening-at-thompson-lane-library--listing-78bd344219972f5e5a127495) — Thu, Dec 3 · 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM · Nashville Public Library — Thompson Lane Branch · Free · checked Oct 24.
