## About

A Saturday-morning birding introduction for young naturalists ages 6 and up at Shelby Bottoms Nature Center. Children learn the basics of birding — what is flying around the park, hiding in the bushes and singing from the trees — while exploring the bottomland park together with a naturalist. The 90-minute session (9 to 10:30 am) mixes walking and looking, so it suits school-age kids who can manage an outdoor walk; a parent or caregiver should come along. Registration is required by calling or emailing the nature center.
