## About

Stones River National Battlefield preserves the site of the 1862–63 Civil War battle on the edge of Murfreesboro. Children of all ages can earn a Junior Ranger badge by completing at least six activities at or above their age level in the park's Junior Ranger booklet, which mixes the battlefield's history with its nature; ten or more activities also earn a special patch. Pick up a booklet at the visitor center or print the downloadable version (11x17, double-sided), then send a copy of the finished booklet to the park. Scout activities are also offered, and fourth graders can get a free Every Kid Outdoors annual pass.
