Naturalists at the desk help identify animals and plants, and a sightings notebook lets visitors log what they saw. The flat paved greenway suits bikes and strollers and connects to the Stones River and Cumberland River greenways; deer, groundhogs, beavers, foxes and many birds live here, and the area is an Important Bird Area. Shelby Park and the greenway also hold several geocaches. Trail maps are available at the center. ## Similar picks in Nashville - [Shelby Bottoms Ghostbusters](https://grassyknees.com/nashville/activities/shelby-bottoms-ghostbusters--listing-7f38cba79a4c98dbd1239a8d) — Sat, Oct 24 · 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM · Shelby Bottoms Nature Center · Ages 12+ · checked Oct 24.
