On the morning of January 6 a procession of thousands of schoolchildren and community members travels through East Harlem with live music, colorful floats and camels, honoring a tradition cherished across Latin America and the Caribbean. Back at the museum the day continues with performances, art-making and family activities until mid-afternoon. It is free and suits all ages, from toddlers on shoulders watching the camels to school-age kids who want to make a crown or join the art-making. Registration is through the museum's Eventbrite link; performers and honored guests are still to be announced, so check the page closer to the date for the parade route and lineup. Dress warmly for standing outside in January. ## Similar picks in New York - [Bombazo Dance Co: Bomba Magos Three Kings Show and Workshop — CMOM](https://grassyknees.com/new-york/activities/bombazo-dance-co-bomba-magos-three-kings-show-and-workshop-cmom--listing-cf28c6c0fc7a1cd70bc04a33) — Tue, Dec 29 · 11:00 AM – 12:15 PM · Children's Museum of Manhattan · With admission · checked Oct 16.
