The evening starts indoors with an interactive lesson inside a planetarium, where participants crawl inside the dome for an immersive look at the night sky. Everyone then heads outdoors for a hands-on telescope viewing session of celestial wonders, including the Geminids. Much of the program is spent outside on a December night, so PEEC asks guests to dress for the cold and bring their own seating for the outdoor portion. The cost is $10 per person, and spots are reserved by calling the center or registering online. The program is supported by the PPL Foundation. ## Similar picks in New York - [Owl Pellet Dissection — Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center](https://grassyknees.com/new-york/activities/owl-pellet-dissection-great-swamp-outdoor-education-center--listing-6b3d8ac088edd365a6c62283) — Sun, Dec 13 · 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM · Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center, Chatham Township · Ages 7+ · From $15 · checked Oct 16.
