## About

The John W. Engeman Theater's Main Stage holiday show for 2026 is Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical, running November 12 to December 27 in Northport village. Max the Dog narrates as the scheming Grinch, whose heart is 'two sizes too small,' sets out to steal Christmas from Whoville, with the songs 'You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch' and 'Welcome Christmas' (book and lyrics by Timothy Mason, music by Mel Marvin). This is a full-length Main Stage production rather than the shorter Children's Theater shows, and the theater sets a firm minimum age of four years for all Main Stage performances, including The Grinch. It suits families with children who can sit through a professional musical; a combined outing with a stroll down Northport's Main Street to the harbor works well. Buy tickets only from the Engeman box office or engemantheater.com.
