In November the theme is Woodland Animals and the First Thanksgiving: rabbits, squirrels and wild turkeys that lived here long before Edmond was a town, and how the town's early settlers celebrated their first Thanksgiving. In December the theme is white-tailed deer, one of Oklahoma's best-known woodland animals, and why they matter in Edmond's history. The museum bills the sessions as perfect for curious young learners and families. They are free, with no registration, so families can simply drop in at the museum on South Boulevard near Stephenson Park. ## Similar picks in Oklahoma City - [Thanksgiving Break Camp: A Storybook Adventure Through the Zoo](https://grassyknees.com/oklahoma-city/activities/thanksgiving-break-camp-a-storybook-adventure-through-the-zoo--listing-126877192eb4f9948c84c310) — Mon, Nov 23 (+2 more dates) · 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM · Oklahoma City Zoo · From $60 · checked Oct 24.
