Any acoustic player can join in, and visitors are welcome to sit and listen to the music in the barn's round loft. That makes it an easy, free outing for families with kids who are curious about fiddles, guitars and banjos. The jam runs from noon to 4 p.m., so families can drop in for part of the afternoon.
