Along with the parade of horses, the day brings a market of handmade artisan goods, local food and a biergarten, a live Christmas concert, a European-style Father Christmas, and a live Christmas Carol theater performance. It is an all-day street event in the small canal-side historic district, good for families who want a mix of animals, music and holiday shopping. Times for the parade and performances are not given on the county listing, which links to the organizer's Facebook page for details. ## Similar picks in Philadelphia - [Winterfest and Holiday Artisan Market — City of Newark](https://grassyknees.com/philadelphia/activities/winterfest-and-holiday-artisan-market-city-of-newark--listing-00c83b220aa971aff752562e) — Sat, Dec 12 · 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM · Old Paper Mill Road Park, Newark · checked Oct 20.
