Races are split by grade and gender: girls' and boys' 4th–6th grade championships at 9:00 and 9:30 am, then girls' and boys' 7th–8th grade races at 10:00 and 10:30, followed by team awards for the top 10 finishers per race and top three teams. Runners enter through their school or club coach (registration is on the coaches page), and families come to cheer. Registration and concessions open at 7:30 am; a coffee vendor and a waffle truck serve breakfast, an on-site screen printer sells meet shirts, and parking is free. A good morning out for families of young runners, or for kids curious about joining a cross country team. ## Similar picks in Phoenix - [Trick or Tri Youth Triathlon at Merrill Ranch — Florence](https://grassyknees.com/phoenix/activities/trick-or-tri-youth-triathlon-at-merrill-ranch-florence--listing-27a59ca94713c32730d2a824) — Sat, Oct 31 · 9:00 AM · Anthem Merrill Ranch Parkside Community Center, Florence · From $74 · checked Oct 24. 4 Peaks Racing's Halloween-morning triathlon at Anthem Merrill Ranch in Florence includes a youth triathlon and youth relay alongside the adult races, which makes it a friendly… - [Shape Up Us Family Fun Community Event — Glendale](https://grassyknees.com/phoenix/activities/shape-up-us-family-fun-community-event-glendale--listing-13ee6ccbdb48faf82aeac28e) — Sat, Nov 7 · 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM · Heroes Regional Park, Glendale · Free · checked Oct 20.
