A hands-on morning for homeschool families at the White Tank Mountain Regional Park Nature Center, led by Rangers Olivia, Shaun and Derik. Three concurrent 35-minute workshops repeat through the morning: Arizona Rocks! (play a rock-cycle game and see minerals like quartz and mica), Ancient Ones (try replica tools used by indigenous peoples and make pictograph-style art) and Magnificent Mammals. No pre-registration: on arrival, add your name to the sign-up sheet for a start time (9:00, 9:40, 10:20, 11:00 or 11:40 AM); each slot is limited to 20 people, first come, first served. Allow about two hours to rotate through all three sessions before the event ends at 12:15 PM.
