The Herberger Theater Center's 17th annual Festival of the Arts is a free, family-friendly day in downtown Phoenix from 11 AM to 6 PM. Twenty-seven local arts organisations and performers rotate across the outdoor Pavilion Stage (classical ballet, taiko, Bollywood and global dance, theatre) and the Monroe Stage (mariachi, jazz and cover bands). For children, the dedicated Kids Zone offers circus arts, aerial experiences, a bubble activation and hands-on art activities run by Valley arts and children's organisations. There are also 30 artisan and vendor booths, live art demonstrations and a food court. Admission is free and everyone is welcome; food and market purchases are extra.
