Mesa Aquatics turns the Stapley Aquatic Complex pool into a floating pumpkin patch: kids swim out and pick their own pumpkin straight from the water. Around the pool there are Halloween carnival games, prizes and a lifeguard costume contest. Two sessions run on the same Saturday, 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Come in costume, bring a swimsuit and towel, and buy tickets in advance through the city's ticket link. Admission is $10. Children need to be able to manage in the pool or be accompanied by a swimming adult; check pool rules before you go.
