Sessions of this kind are generally meant for children who find the usual mall Santa experience hard to handle — the crowds, the noise and the wait in line. The mall's page does not describe what changes for the morning, such as lighting, music or how many families are let in at a time, so parents of children with specific needs may want to ask before they go. The longer window is useful: it opens two hours before Santa's regular Sunday hours that week, which start at 11 a.m. As with every Santa visit at the mall, sitting with Santa costs nothing and photo packages are optional purchases. The mall recommends reserving a time online, and families who pre-book receive a free personalized digital message from Santa before the visit. ## Similar picks in Phoenix - [Sensory-Friendly Santa Morning — Arrowhead Towne Center](https://grassyknees.com/phoenix/activities/sensory-friendly-santa-morning-arrowhead-towne-center--listing-712001b44df60bfc5def9070) — Sun, Dec 6 · 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM · Arrowhead Towne Center — Santa near JCPenney, Glendale · Free · sensory-friendly · checked Oct 27.
