The youth course is a 200 m pool swim, a 6-mile bike and a 1.5-mile run; relays let two or three kids split the legs. Every finisher gets a medal and a long-sleeve race hoodie (or $10 off without it), and the top three boys and girls in the youth triathlon get awards. The youth race starts at 9:00 am, after the adult waves, and registration stays open until then, so families racing only a child do not need to arrive at dawn. The race is USA Triathlon-sanctioned, so each racer needs an annual USAT membership or a one-day license. Costumes fit the theme. ## Similar picks in Phoenix - [Trick-or-Treat at the Children's Museum of Phoenix](https://grassyknees.com/phoenix/activities/trick-or-treat-at-the-children-s-museum-of-phoenix--listing-e5952e453702d7f541732a80) — Fri, Oct 30 (+1 more date) · 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM · Children's Museum of Phoenix · With admission · checked Oct 16.
