Young artists ages 6 through 10 spend the day in the museum's Art Studio experimenting with diverse materials, learning techniques, exploring the galleries for inspiration and making their own drawings, paintings and sculptures, with playful art and sensory challenges mixed in. The day runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is required through the museum's online system; Carnegie Museums members pay less, and scholarships are available through an application form. Questions go to the museum's Program Registration team at 412-622-3288. Two dates fall in this window: the day after Thanksgiving and December 28 during winter break. ## Similar picks in Pittsburgh - [Art Starts: Baby and Caregiver Art Class at Carnegie Museum of Art](https://grassyknees.com/pittsburgh/activities/art-starts-baby-and-caregiver-art-class-at-carnegie-museum-of-art--listing-df6bf1f14787b148580e1751) — Thu, Dec 10 · 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM · Carnegie Museum of Art · From $15 · checked Oct 24.
