For about two weeks around Halloween, MAKESHOP at the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh turns into a lab for Franken-Stuffies. Children mix and match parts to sew their own plush 'friend', which is a playful introduction to hand sewing and design. It is a drop-in activity from October 22 through November 4, included with daily museum admission, so families can stop in during any visit. Younger children will likely need a grown-up's help with needle and thread.
