The organizer's text says the race has moved to Helicon Brewing and is not at the community center. Both options start together and are scheduled through 12:30 p.m. The course is an out-and-back on crushed limestone, described as flat and fast. Awards go to the top three overall men and women and to men and women in age groups that include 19 and under. A pacer is offered for runners trying to finish in 20:27, which the text calls breaking the new year, and another note mentions a pacer for 20:26. The first 150 people who register for either the 5K or the 1 mile walk receive a commemorative mug. The 1 mile is labeled a family fun walk, so children can take the shorter distance while adults run the 5K. No stroller rule is printed. The brewery is the start location this year, and the trail is the course. ## Similar picks in Pittsburgh - [Harmony Silvester: German New Year's Eve 5K, Fun Run, Diaper Dash and Ball Drop](https://grassyknees.com/pittsburgh/activities/harmony-silvester-german-new-year-s-eve-5k-fun-run-diaper-dash-and-bal--listing-438f780650a97d98e9a018df) — Thu, Dec 31 · 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM · Historic Harmony (Grace Church Gymnasium, race headquarters) · From $10 · checked Oct 24.
