The State Theatre Center for the Arts in downtown Uniontown stages its annual Nutcracker Ballet on the second weekend of December. More than 100 local performers of all ages dance the classic story to Tchaikovsky's music in choreography by Donna Marovic, and the theatre notes that the show has become a yearly holiday tradition for many local families. There are five performances in 2026: Thursday, December 10 and Friday, December 11 at 7:00 pm; Saturday, December 12 at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm; and Sunday, December 13 at 2:00 pm. The Saturday 11 am show is the earliest option for families with young children. Tickets are $25 and are sold through the theatre's ShoWare box office online; box office hours are Monday to Friday, 10 am to 2 pm.
