In honor of Diwali, dancers from the Nartana School of Kuchipudi Dance in Beaverton perform Kuchipudi, a centuries-old classical dance form from southern India known for its lively tempo and exhilarating footwork. The 45-minute performance at Lake Oswego Public Library introduces families to one of India's eight classical dance forms, and the library's listing explains Diwali traditions such as diyas, rangoli and sharing sweets. Admission is free and no tickets are needed. Sponsored by LO for LOve. Contact Allison Arnold at 503-534-5665 or aarnold@lakeoswego.city.
