Families bring a carved pumpkin to enter the carving contest, come in costume for the costume contest, and enjoy music, food trucks and a story time outdoors. The library handed out free pumpkins to carve the week before (one per family while supplies lasted). It is an easy early-evening Halloween outing for young children before the holiday weekend. ## Similar picks coming up in Providence - [Baby Storytime at Weaver Library](https://grassyknees.com/providence/activities/baby-storytime-at-weaver-library--listing-e6952f7202e741018f52ef51) — Mondays 9:30–10:30am (listed Oct 26, Nov 2, 9, 16) · Weaver Library (East Providence Public Library) · checked Oct 24.
