Along with treats, children can get their faces painted all day and meet roaming characters: a bubble fairy from 10 am to 3 pm, pirates from noon to 2 pm and a dinosaur from 1 to 3 pm, plus princesses on Saturday and Huntrx characters on Sunday from noon to 2 pm. Costumes are welcome. Tickets are sold online through the zoo's ticketing site; children under 2 are free. It is a daylight event, so it suits younger trick-or-treaters who are not ready for evening crowds. ## Similar picks in Providence - [Halloween Anniversary Bash with Wicked Walk Doors at Roger Williams Park](https://grassyknees.com/providence/activities/halloween-anniversary-bash-with-wicked-walk-doors-at-roger-williams-pa--listing-a42f779d011b7efcad99e921) — Fri, Oct 30 · 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM · Gateway Center at Roger Williams Park · All ages · Free · checked Oct 24.
