Families can walk the candlelit streets, warm up with a complimentary cup of hot chocolate and a cookie, and browse local shops and artists' studios, many of which run special promotions for the night. It is an easygoing outing rather than a staged show, so children can set the pace; strollers work well on the downtown sidewalks. The stroll goes ahead rain or shine, so bundle up. ## Similar picks in Providence - [Illuminate PVD Holiday Stroll 2026](https://grassyknees.com/providence/activities/illuminate-pvd-holiday-stroll-2026--listing-a83b70b3359bda559f1ab291) — Fri, Dec 4 · 6:00 PM · Biltmore Park to Grant's Block Park via The Providence Rink · All ages · checked Nov 1.
