Most are temporary guests returned to the wild after a short stay; non-releasable animals serve as ambassadors in education programs, and the aquarium breeds little skates, northern lined seahorses and chain catsharks. Children can handle animals at sandy-bottom and rocky-shore touch tanks, watch live animal displays and catch naturalist-led talks.
