Clara receives a Nutcracker from her godfather for Christmas, dreams that it comes to life to battle the mischievous Mouse Queen, and travels with the Snow Queen and King and their Snowflakes through the forest to the Land of the Sweets and the Sugar Plum Fairy. With two Saturday performances and a Sunday matinee, it is an easy holiday outing during the long weekend. Note the theater's rules for young children: children under two are not admitted, and everyone over two needs their own ticket. ## Similar picks in Providence - [Nutcracker Tea Party — New Bedford Ballet](https://grassyknees.com/providence/activities/nutcracker-tea-party-new-bedford-ballet--listing-33039a2d79eff36e668e59db) — Sun, Nov 22 · 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM · Wamsutta Club, New Bedford · From $55 · checked Oct 27.
