In 2026 the crescent Moon sets at 8:30 pm, so the sky should be dark. Frosty Drew opens the Observatory and its telescopes at 6:30 pm for views of nebulae and galaxies. As meteors pick up, everyone moves outside to watch the peak. It will be cold: bring winter coats, hats, gloves and a blanket or reclining chair to lie back on. Anyone over four needs a ticket; buy online or at the gate until it sells out. Ticket holders may stay all night. ## Similar picks in Providence - [Providence Bruins WinterFest Chuck-A-Puck and Toy Drive](https://grassyknees.com/providence/activities/providence-bruins-winterfest-chuck-a-puck-and-toy-drive--listing-934badf3937f300a8094f58f) — Sun, Dec 13 · 3:05 PM · Amica Mutual Pavilion (The AMP) · All ages · Paid · checked Oct 24.
