Kids can come in costume, pose for photo opportunities with costumed characters, and make holiday crafts at the activity tables. At 4 pm the mall holds a costume contest, and the top three costumes win Crabtree gift cards for a favorite store ($150, $75 and $50). It is a compact, indoor, two-hour event that suits preschoolers and early elementary children who want to show off their costume before trick-or-treating, and it is easy to combine with a stroll through the mall or an early visit to the holiday decorations. Arrive before 4 pm if your child wants to enter the contest. ## Similar picks coming up in Raleigh - [Photos with Santa at Crabtree Valley Mall](https://grassyknees.com/raleigh/activities/photos-with-santa-at-crabtree-valley-mall--listing-cea12273a1b544927424d914) — Nov 6 – Dec 24 · Crabtree (Crabtree Valley Mall) — Center Court, Lower Level · All ages · Free · checked Oct 27.
