The hour-long evening, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, includes an activity for kids, holiday music and a sweet treat before the menorah is lit, which makes it short enough for younger children on a school night. The event is free, open to the public and suitable for all ages. For families who cannot make Monday evening, the town also lights the menorah at the Cary Arts Center each evening through all eight days of Hanukkah, Dec 4 to 12, so it is easy to stop by on a walk downtown. Downtown Cary Park asks anyone who needs an accommodation to fill in its event accessibility form so staff can follow up before the night. Dress warmly, since the pavilion is outdoors, and come a little early to find parking in one of the town's downtown lots. ## Similar picks in Raleigh - [Tree Lighting Celebration at Downtown Cary Park](https://grassyknees.com/raleigh/activities/tree-lighting-celebration-at-downtown-cary-park--listing-9ea6c784d07cb1b363e6fc86) — Sat, Dec 5 · 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM · Downtown Cary Park · All ages · Free · checked Oct 27.
