## About

An 85-acre preserve near Wendell around a cypress swamp millpond with a historic landmark. Families can bring their own kayak, canoe, paddleboard or small trolling-motor boat and follow the 1.15-mile paddling trail marked by numbered buoys through the cypress trees — about an hour of paddling; stand-up paddlers are steered to the wider western side (buoys 1–26). Launch from a grassy site or the ADA-accessible boat dock near the parking lot; life jackets are required while boating. A boardwalk with benches gives platform access for fishing (sunfish, catfish, pickerel), and there are interpretive trails and a picnic area. No boat rentals are mentioned, so bring your own craft.
