During this Sensory-Friendly Photos with Santa session in the park's Gathering House, the lights are softened, the music is turned down to a soothing level and fewer people are let inside at once, so there is more room between families and less waiting in a crowd. Sensory bags are available to borrow during the visit. Families take their own photos with a phone or camera. The session is open to guests of all ages who need sensory accommodations, it is free, and it is not a drop-off event: parents or guardians stay with their child throughout. The town notes that Santa is popular, so there may still be a short wait, and the line may close about 30 minutes before the 3 pm end depending on the crowd. Families who want to describe a specific need ahead of time can fill in the park's event accessibility form and a staff member will follow up. ## Similar picks in Raleigh - [Sensory-Friendly Holiday Express at Pullen Park](https://grassyknees.com/raleigh/activities/sensory-friendly-holiday-express-at-pullen-park--listing-9120ddd93c1957e7718b5081) — Sun, Dec 6 (+1 more date) · 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM · Pullen Park · All ages · From $21 · sensory-friendly · sold out when last checked · checked Oct 28.
