Families stroll the sidewalks between shops and restaurants in costume, collecting treats in daylight rather than after dark, which makes it a comfortable option for toddlers, preschoolers and children who prefer a calmer, well-lit Halloween. The long window means you can drop in around naps or before evening neighborhood trick-or-treating. North Hills also asks families to share their costume photos on social media tagged @VisitNorthHills for a chance to win a gift card. The Midtown Farmers' Market holds a 'Boos & Brews' Halloween edition in the Commons the same morning from 8 am to noon, so an early arrival lets you combine both. ## Similar picks coming up in Raleigh - [Family Storytime — North Regional Library](https://grassyknees.com/raleigh/activities/family-storytime-north-regional-library--listing-449cb583456089baaa40cbfe) — Weekly sessions as listed on the Wake County events calendar for the week of Nov 2–7… · North Regional Library · Free · checked Oct 24.
