Riverside's annual Chanukah Festival on the fourth night of Chanukah, held outdoors in front of the Riverside Historic Courthouse downtown and organized by the Chabad Jewish Community Center of Riverside. The evening centers on the lighting of a grand menorah, with traditional holiday food, live music and activities aimed at the whole family, so children can join in the songs and see the menorah lit up. It runs from 6 to 8 pm on a Monday in December. Admission is free and the organizers say all are welcome, whether or not you are Jewish. Dress warmly for an outdoor evening, and allow time for downtown parking since the Festival of Lights draws crowds to the same area in December.
