Calico Ghost Town's annual Halloween festival runs two weekends, Oct. 23-25 and Oct. 30-Nov. 1, 2026, with a Miners vs. Outlaws theme. The county lists trick-or-treating by the town's shops each day (Fridays and Saturdays 4-5 p.m., Sundays 12-1 p.m.), costume contests on the Main Stage with age divisions (4-8, 9-13, 14 and older) plus a Saturday doggie costume contest at 1:30 p.m., live bands throughout the day with a Saturday night headlining concert, gunfighter shows, a kids' carnival tent, pumpkin carving, a monster mash dance, movies on both Friday nights at 7 p.m., a rotten egg toss, potato sack races and a scream contest. After dark the event turns spookier: Town Scarers roam Main Street during scare hours, Fridays 5-9 p.m. and Saturdays 6-10 p.m. Haunted attractions and classic experiences (train rides, gold panning, haunted mine tours, Mystery Shack, ghost tours) cost extra. Festival hours are Fridays 5-9 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sundays 9 a.m.-5 p.m. General admission is $15 for adults 12 and older, $10 for youth 4-11 and free for ages 3 and younger; admission is included for registered campers.
