Palm Desert's free fall Concerts in the Park series brings live tribute music to the Civic Center Park Amphitheater on Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. Two concerts remain in the window: the 80'z All-Stars' ultimate '80s dance party on October 22 and MJ Vibes, a Michael Jackson tribute with signature dance moves, on October 29. Families are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and settle in on the lawn; a food truck is on site each week with food for purchase, and picnics are welcome. Alcohol and smoking are not permitted in the park. The amphitheater is on the northeast corner of San Pablo Avenue and Fred Waring Drive. It is an easy, no-ticket evening outing that suits children who like to dance.
