An evening of outdoor stargazing at the Victor Valley Museum in Apple Valley, presented with the High Desert Astronomical Society. Society members set up telescopes and guide guests in observing celestial objects while explaining what they are looking at in the night sky. The program runs outdoors, weather permitting, so wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring a warm layer for a high-desert autumn night. The museum galleries stay open throughout the evening, so families can move between telescope viewing and the indoor exhibits. A good fit for school-age children and teens curious about planets and stars; children five and under get in free. Parking is free and the museum is accessible to people with disabilities. Runs 7 to 10 pm, so families with young children can come for the first hour and leave early.
