The City of Montclair After-School Program (MAP) holds its 27th Lights On Afterschool celebration at the Montclair Community Center, next to the library. This year's theme is 'MAP-Con': for two months students studied the art, culture and history of comic books, anime and video games, drafting comics, creating characters and designing game consoles, and their projects go on display for the public. The evening includes trimester awards, student performances, interactive exhibits and an opportunity drawing for a MAP Prize Pack. Lights On Afterschool is a national celebration of after-school programs held at more than 8,000 sites. Families of program students and community members are invited.
