A free neighborhood Thanksgiving dinner at Lincoln Park in Riverside's Eastside, put on by the city's Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department with the Lincoln Park Neighborhood Group. Families, neighbors and friends sit down together for a holiday meal and a chance to meet other people from the community the week before Thanksgiving. It runs on a Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm and is open to everyone, so it works well for families with children of any age who want a relaxed, community-style celebration. No fee is charged. The page does not say whether you need to sign up, so call the Stratton Center staff at 951-686-3119 or email strattoncc@riversideca.gov to check before you go.
