The City of Palm Desert and McCallum Theatre invite veterans, military families and community members to an evening honoring those who have served. Pre-concert festivities start at 5:30 p.m. on the theatre plaza with food, activities and an ice cream social. At 7 p.m. the celebration moves inside for a 90-minute classic-rock concert by The Hit Men, musicians who have played with Foreigner, Journey, Billy Joel, Elton John and others, with more than 20 hits, behind-the-scenes stories, video and audience participation, plus a special tribute to Coachella Valley veterans. The plaza portion suits families with children; the concert is a full evening show.
