## About

Placer Nature Center, a volunteer-run environmental education center in the Auburn foothills, opens its grounds to the public for drop-in open house mornings. The center sits on the California Conservation Corps property on Christian Valley Road and has delivered nature programs for children, families and schools since 1991; open house days are the chance for families who are not enrolled in a class or school program to explore the site and its exhibits and meet the docents. The two remaining fall dates are Halloween morning and the Saturday after Thanksgiving, both from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., which suits families with preschool and elementary-age children looking for an easy outdoor morning.
