The production tells the familiar story: Clara's beloved nutcracker toy comes to life, her nutcracker prince leads a sword fight against the Rat Queen, and the two travel through a moonlit snowfall to the Land of Sweets ruled by the Sugar Plum Fairy. Evening shows run about two hours, and the Saturday and Sunday 2 p.m. matinees are the easier choice for younger children. The Brauntex is an intimate 1940s movie palace on San Antonio Street, a short walk from Main Plaza's holiday lights. Tickets are sold through the theatre's online box office; all sales are final, and the theatre allows only clear bags. ## Similar picks in San Antonio - [The Nutcracker – Ballet San Antonio](https://grassyknees.com/san-antonio/activities/the-nutcracker-ballet-san-antonio--listing-fc3205372482adbb0a981e1a) — Fri, Dec 4 (+5 more dates) · 7:30 PM · Tobin Center for the Performing Arts · Paid · checked Oct 14.
