It is a good month for military families to spend a day at the zoo on Brackenridge Park's north edge: the zoo's animal habitats, Kiddie Park rides and play areas are all open, and the Zoo Lights holiday trail begins in mid-November (a separate special event that this offer does not cover). Tickets are bought through the zoo's online store, and the military member must show a valid military ID at the front gate; dependents must also show ID. The offer cannot be combined with other discounts, special events or experiences. ## Similar picks in San Antonio - [The Light Park San Antonio drive-thru holiday lights](https://grassyknees.com/san-antonio/activities/the-light-park-san-antonio-drive-thru-holiday-lights--listing-8aa6ef9714c725b148f7da44) — Nov 6 – Jan 3 · 5:30 PM – 10:00 PM · The Light Park at Nelson W.
